TaMaR

‬‭What Is TaMaR:‬
‭The word TAMAR means a date palm, a very prominent
symbol in Judaism. TaMaR is also an‬ acronym for:
Tnuat Magshimim Reformi,
The movement of Reform/Progressive Actualisers.‬

‭TaMaR is the international Progressive Jewish movement for young adults and young‬ professionals, the logical next step after Netzer, the Progressive Jewish Youth Movement.‬ Currently, TaMaR SA has only been functioning in Cape Town with events small and large! We‬ celebrate various Jewish festivals, have shabbat dinners and havdalah together and partner‬ with other young adult organisations in the community for some new, fun and exciting and‬ meaningful programming and education.‬
‭TaMaR focuses on creating spaces of meaningful engagement and connection for young adults‬ in the community and does this within the framework of Progressive Judaism, Progressive‬ Zionism,Tikkun Olam.‬

If you would like to hear more about TaMaR happenings and get involved in the young adult events, please reach out to Rachael Sara on +27726013853.
