Lily-Rose Black - Mitzvah Project

For my mitzvah project me and my family volunteered to read books and hand out food to a charity organization of children in Bonteheuwel. There were about 24 kids I read to, and each of them were very interested in the story. At Bontekids the children meetup to learn how to read and to get a small meal during lunch time. Most of the children come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Most times the meals they get at Bontekids are the only ones they get all day, so I was thrilled to make them all sandwiches and watch their gleeful faces as i passed them out. Over all the children were so polite and kind which made me even happier that I came to this organization. I would definitely volunteer at Bontekids again, and I recommend it to you too.
