TaMaR
What Is TaMaR:
The word TAMAR means a date palm, a very prominent
symbol in Judaism. TaMaR is also an acronym for:
Tnuat Magshimim Reformi,
The movement of Reform/Progressive Actualisers.
TaMaR is the international Progressive Jewish movement for young adults and young professionals, the logical next step after Netzer, the Progressive Jewish Youth Movement. Currently, TaMaR SA has only been functioning in Cape Town with events small and large! We celebrate various Jewish festivals, have shabbat dinners and havdalah together and partner with other young adult organisations in the community for some new, fun and exciting and meaningful programming and education.
TaMaR focuses on creating spaces of meaningful engagement and connection for young adults in the community and does this within the framework of Progressive Judaism, Progressive Zionism,Tikkun Olam.
If you would like to hear more about TaMaR happenings and get involved in the young adult events, please reach out to Rachael Sara on +27726013853.
